Noldon Pope is a pastor, author, educator, counselor, and community leader committed to strengthening families, developing people, and helping others fulfill their God-given purpose. His work brings together biblical teaching, practical leadership, compassionate care, and decades of public service.
Throughout his career, Noldon has worked where faith and everyday life meet. He approaches leadership as an opportunity to listen, teach, organize, and serve. Whether addressing a congregation, guiding a team, developing a program, or helping someone through a difficult moment, he brings a practical, people-centered perspective shaped by ministry, education, emergency response, military service, civic work, and entrepreneurship.
As Senior Pastor of Harvest Missionary Bible Church International, Noldon prepares and delivers biblically grounded messages, leads worship, guides strategic planning, supports individuals and families through counseling and crisis care, and builds meaningful connections with the wider community. He also serves as President of River International Fellowship, extending teaching and encouragement through radio, websites, and social media.
His ministry experience includes service as a senior pastor, associate minister, youth pastor, worship leader, preacher, teacher, and seminary instructor. He has developed Sunday and Bible-study teaching, children’s ministry, early-learning initiatives, graduation counseling, ministry pathways, alumni engagement, outreach events, and programs designed to support spiritual growth at every stage of life.
Noldon’s leadership experience spans ministry, education, civic engagement, business, emergency services, and the military. He has served congregations as a senior pastor, associate minister, youth pastor, worship leader, and seminary instructor. In school communities, he has led as a PTA president and worked as a librarian and media specialist, developing lessons for students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade and producing a school news program.
His record of service also includes work as a firefighter-paramedic, fire department chaplain and recruiter, legislative aide, human relations commissioner, business owner, and United States Navy hospital corpsman. Across these roles, he has consistently focused on building teams, improving systems, mentoring others, and responding to people with clarity and care.
During his years with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, Noldon served not only as a firefighter and nationally registered paramedic, but also as a chaplain and recruiter. He supported hospital and station visits, participated in memorials and celebration-of-life services, represented the department through television and radio appearances, and created recruiting materials with lasting value. Earlier, his service as a United States Navy hospital corpsman established a foundation of discipline, readiness, and care for others.
His civic and public-facing roles further broadened that foundation. As a legislative aide, he helped address constituent concerns, prepared materials for bill hearings, organized office operations during legislative sessions, and supervised college interns. As a member and vice chair of the Anne Arundel County Human Relations Commission, he reviewed policies and cases, contributed recommendations, and helped develop housing legislation for county consideration.
In educational settings, Noldon has served as a PTA president and as a long-term substitute librarian and media specialist. He has developed and delivered lessons for young learners through fifth grade, overseen library operations, produced a school news show, facilitated organizational goals and meetings, and served as a bridge among families, teachers, and school leaders.
Noldon earned a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Christian Counseling and a Bachelor of Christian Education from Family Bible Institute College Seminary. He also studied paramedical sciences at Anne Arundel County Community College and is a licensed clinical pastoral counselor. His practical expertise includes project management, leadership development, team building, new ministry development, biblical teaching and preaching, and the design and maintenance of sound and audiovisual systems.
Noldon also brings hands-on organizational and technical experience. As a store supervisor, he managed staff development, inventory, rentals, and sales. As a business owner, he designed, installed, repaired, and maintained sound and audiovisual systems. These experiences complement his ministry leadership by giving him the ability to move from vision to execution, coordinate people and resources, and solve practical problems.
Whether he is teaching Scripture, supporting a family in crisis, developing a new ministry, mentoring a leader, or serving the community, Noldon brings a steady commitment to faith, integrity, and practical action. His mission is to equip people with the spiritual foundation, encouragement, and tools they need to grow, serve, and make a lasting difference.
He is also a musician who plays guitar, bass, and drums, bringing creativity and an understanding of worship environments to his ministry. This combination of pastoral care, teaching, administration, technology, and music allows him to connect with diverse audiences and support ministries from multiple perspectives.
